GAMEPLAY PROGRAMMER – Lucas Plantaz
👋 Hi, I’m Lucas Plantaz, i’m currently ready to join a development team and contribute to exciting projects. I look forward to hearing from you. Feel free to reach out on any platform!
🕒 When I opened my own gaming room in my hometown, I took advantage of my free time there to follow a small online course on Unreal Engine. While the course didn’t teach me everything I needed to build a full game by myself but it sparked something bigger: the desire to turn game development into my career.
When my entrepreneurial journey came to an end, I didn’t hesitate for a second to begin a mentorship with a programmer who had previously worked at Ubisoft Montpelier, among other places.
As soon as I could, I started giving programming lessons, because I love sharing my passion with others.
I’ve had the chance to work with several students, each with their own background and goals.

My Games
🧙♂️Echoes Of Summer Light (🥇JAM WINNER)
This Boss-Rush game puts you in the role of a sorceress fighting for her life against powerful deities,
sent to Earth during the medieval ceremonial night of Saint John.
Developed in one month by a team of three, myself as programmer, sound designer, game designer.
This project was an intense and rewarding a collaboration.

🧠
Teamwork and communication.
Working with strict time limits
Designing Paterns for enemies
Optimizing visibility for votes
❤️
Working with teammates
and winning together,
makes this project
The most special for me.
🎴PokeCardy
This point-and-click game challenges you to gradually complete your retro card collection.
As my third game and one of my most polished projects it was inspired by the collectible cards from my childhood. I aimed to recreate the visual atmosphere of that era and gave myself a unique constraint:
no interface at all, to keep the experience fully immersive.
–
🧠
Creating a coherent visual universe
Adding music and ambient sound
Adding a complex database
Optimizing the game build
❤️
I realy enjoy playing it.
Coming back to it
To expand my collection
And take a chill moment
🚀Rocket Digger
This online two-player game allows you to join a lobby with a friend.
You dig into the terrain using rockets to then eject your opponent into the gaps.
This game features a lobby browser system
and allows previewing the opponent’s movements.
–
🧠
Creating online game
Integrating Shader Effect
Randomly generated field
Optimizing delay
❤️
This game was much harder to create
than I had imagined.
It was challenging, but very satisfying
to see everything work properly.
🏃➡️Red Run Rusher
This game is a blend of auto-runners and rythm games.
you will run faster and faster by clicking on as many orbs as possible to grow your score.
I wanted to create a minimalist visual experience to let the player focus on what matters most:
achieving the highest score possible.
–
🧠
Creating full custom movement
Creating full custom collision
Integrating 3D models and animations
procedurally spawning level chunks
❤️
This game is the first one I ever created,
which makes it very important to me.
It boosted my confidence,
I’m very attached to it.
🥋Box Collider 2D
This local two-player game is played on the same screen.
As my second game, it was inspired by Plateform fighters.
I wanted to make it as accessible as possible
By keeping the controls very simple.
–
🧠
Designing local multiplayer
Creating satisfying 3Cs
Customizable controls
Multiple Gamemodes
❤️
I’m especially proud of the game’s feel
when playing with someone else.
I love how responsive the box colliders
feel during gameplay.
